Free Watercolor Hummingbird Painting Course
ATTN: Older watercolor learners who are sick of the standard advice to “just practice more!”
This FREE beginner tutorial will show you a new method to learn watercolors that makes it so much easier to see progress.
The course includes a printable line-drawing sketch and reference photo so it's easy to start painting along.
Learn step-by-step:
Sketch
We start by sketching the hummingbird. This can be done freehand OR using the traceable line-drawing sketch (included as a download).
Base layers
Mixing just 2 colors, we paint the vibrant green feathers on the body and wings.
Outer profile
Then, profile details are added to give the hummingbird's wings a sense of motion and bring it to life.
Final details
Finally, we add the flower details and an expressive background to complete the project - and we're done!
Hi, I'm Emily
Nothing is more frustrating than spending tons of time working on a painting… only to have it not turn out.
What I found is that the traditional way of learning watercolor is overcomplicated and promotes “practice” over sustainability and enjoyment.
Most of my watercolor students are older adults who’ve been able to start painting fun things in days not months or years. How? Simply by adopting the methods I’ll teach you in this free class.
